The producer's story
The craftsman Constantin Lungu, president of the Folk Craftsmen's Association of the Neamț Land, has his workshop in Humulești, near Târgu Neamț. Specialised in wood carving, he makes shepherd's crooks and staffs, hatchets from elder and hazel wood, some inlaid, others plated with tin, topped with carved faces of men depicting shepherds watching over their flocks of sheep. In addition, from branches and roots of linden or dogwood, he makes staffs with folk motifs or various carved objects for decorating living interiors.
